Independent screenings provide screeners with lots of flexibility to host a custom event that features The Road West Traveled programming.

After details are agreed upon, independent screeners are free to set up, promote, and run their event as they see fit. The Road West Traveled team will provide basic support to set up your screening.

We offer two licensing packages:

Independent Screening: Film package, customizable assets, ticketing handled by organizer.

Independent Screening - Non-profit Rate: Film package, customizable assets, ticketing handled by organizer. This rate is reserved only for fundraising events, and the organizer shall not profit.

Rates differ per film, please reach out for exact rates.

The screening fee shall be due to The Road West Traveled, LLC no later than 7 days before your event. Your screening fee is non-refundable. Upon receiving payment and a signed copy of the agreement, screeners will receive digital access to the film 7-14 days before their event.

Use: Under this agreement, the screener may publicly show the licensed film a total of (1) one time unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by both parties. Any other usage or distribution of the films and the tour’s promotional materials is prohibited.

Multiple Showings: If you would like to plan multiple showings of the film, please contact us to discuss pricing for additional screenings/events.

Ticketing: All ticketing will be handled by the screener unless otherwise agreed upon. Ticket pricing is at the screener’s discretion, but should not exceed $30.00 per ticket. You are not required to charge admission for your screening and are welcome to offer admission for free if it suits you!

Films may look and sound different depending on the technical specifications of the projector and speakers used at your venue. The Road West Traveled team is not able to offer technical support for on-site screening needs.

We recommend having technical support lined up for your event! Your venue may have a technical support person to help with your event. We recommend testing the film at your venue in advance of opening doors for guests to allow your team to troubleshoot any technical issues and ensure that the film looks and sounds the best that it can.

As an independent screener, I/we agree to uphold The Road West Traveled’s core values of fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all during our screening and any other associated events.

As a screener of our films, you agree to respect and honor the perspectives and experiences shared by the subjects in our film.

* If the screener does not uphold this agreement in advance of the screening, The Road West Traveled team reserves the right to terminate your access to the film, and your screening fee will be forfeited.
